I will not forget the processions I attended as a young girl, carrying the Virgin Mary with my school friends, and singing in church choir to celebrate this momentous occasion of Jesus’ resurrection.
Now being all grown up my perception and beliefs have changed. Well, they started to change a long time ago – step by step. And not just a little bit.
The fears and threats of religious organizations do not have a hold on my persona and thoughts anymore. The days are gone that I think my sins have to be forgiven by another person, called priest, who then prays to God to forgive me, kind of like a buffer…how insane!
Don’t get me wrong. I adore Jesus, but as a man, like you and me, with just a lot more knowledge of the Truth. A man that lived and preached what he understood to be true, telling us that the kingdom of heaven was within us – not in a far away place.
His wisdom misunderstood by so many. Like all great seers, East and West alike, he was showing the masses what needed to be done in order to find God.
And so on this Easter weekend I will remember that life is eternal. That we do not die and that through finding God and becoming ‘like him’ we will find eternal bliss. We, like Jesus, are able to make this transition to the next plane consciously. We do not have to fall into deep sleep in order to rise to the next dimension.
We are all his children and so I rest assured that I am made of the same substance, perfect intelligence, goodness and wisdom as this great Universal power that we call God.
Have a wonderful and uplifting Easter Holiday!
