Sharpen your Intuition

Many times intuition is called the sixth sense, but it is also disregarded by many as a mystical power and some sceptics even call it a lucky guess. But intuition, in metaphysics, is more than that. When you are paying attention to your gut feeling you’d be surprised how often this seemingly bodily signal is right on track. This is because intuition taps directly into our inner powers, our subconscious minds.

Our instincts often hit us first on a visceral level, telling us what we need to know well before our awareness catches up. Our consciousness, awareness, is just a step behind, or slower, than our subconscious, where our intuition lives. That is because the subconscious is the direct connection to our higher self. It is the all-knowing storehouse of universal knowledge. It contains the past, the now, and even the future.

Can we trust intuition? It might help to know that we experience intuition all the time, because it acts like an automatic response to our thoughts. However, we are not paying close attention to this sensation, even though we sometimes experience physical responses, like becoming nervous or sweaty, developing an upset stomach, or headaches. Exhibiting these symptoms show us that we are acting against our intuition. “Oh, I knew better” I hear all the time, “But I did it anyway”.  “I should not have done that, my gut feeling told me to stop, but…”

Sometimes we override our intuitive gut-level reactions altogether, mostly for external reasons. We care what others think about us, we marry into situations that we perceive safe. We look to others for guidance and follow their lead. We listen to our perceptive senses, and believe them to be true, rather than questioning this so-called material life of ours. We haven’t grasp the truth that all is mental, all is Spirit and most of all that all is good.

Is intuition fool proof? No, not at this stage of our unfoldment. Why? Because we constantly doubt ourselves and our decisions. We do not trust that all is good, all will work out perfectly, and we expect what we believe to be true, instead of Truth. But intuition does not waver, it does not lie, it does not change its story.
If intuition is the connection to the Almighty Power, our direct line to Spirit itself, how could it lie or change its story? It naturally would send true signals and by tuning into this communication tool of the universe we could tap into all there is to know, or what is necessary for this stage of our journey.
