Our responsibilities

When we talk about responsibilities, what comes to mind? Work, bringing home a paycheck, our children of course and their education, caring for an elderly parent and things of that nature. But in order to be able to provide these loving services, we must understand that our foremost responsibility is to ourselves and our spiritual unfoldment.

Why? When this sense of conscientiousness and reliability to our own psyche is in balance, we will naturally do the right thing for others. The truth is, that we can only do what’s right for others when we are whole within ourselves. There is no ego attached to this view point; self always must come first when healing is necessary. Healing not only from physical afflictions, but healing from mental dispositions and emotional pain.

What else can we do for our fellow brothers and sisters? It is our duty to contribute to the awakening of the masses - the awakening to a better more blissful life, that is joyful, plentiful, and harmonious. The journey has begun. It is a journey of self-discovery. So, let us be good, act good, do good, and be a factor in this Universal awareness that is growing and blossoming. We cannot force anyone to understand or to want to learn about the Truth, but we can live and teach by example. I am grateful for this gift that has been given to us by the Allness of Good.
