Life doesn’t always seem easy or fair

I’m sure you’ll agree with me on this statement. Maybe someone has treated us unfairly or said something that pushed our buttons or hurt our feelings. Or a person received a compliment about their achievement, and you were overlooked even though you did most of the work. I could go on and on with examples. We all experience the sense of “life is tough” at one time or another.

Firstly, it doesn’t matter what others do or say. We must not react or feel hurt by their actions. We cannot be affected by their behavior, unless we make the conscious decision to get involved in their business, which usually is not a wise choice. Remember, we are only responsible for our own thinking and doing, which in turn create our lives and our personal experiences.

Secondly, in so many instances we react emotionally instead of stopping ourselves to think things through rationally. Frustration sets in and easily turns into anger if we don’t deal with it immediately. We never should hold onto a negative feeling. Let it out, scream if you must, release. Instead of burying our anger and disgust deep in our psyche, we must address the cause, and see what needs correction in our minds. A quick outburst of annoyance, a slight sense of disappointment, and easily irritated thoughts become a habit; and a habitual thought becomes our reality.

What’s the solution?

We must use right thought and good feeling as our medicine against the mental bacteria of anger, worry, and fear. These dispositions spread and infest our minds; they linger and torture; and they make us ill. Who wants to be sick, develop headaches, uptight shoulders, stiffness of the body, and many more ill symptoms caused by wrong feelings?

Knowing this will help us see the Truth. Our right and good thought, coupled with understanding of Truth, is our savior.
So, let us stay focused on our business—which is the business of our individual spiritual unfoldment. We want to live easily and comfortably, so let’s think ease and comfort. Have a great peaceful day!
