I recently read a short story by Louise L. Hay, the founder of Hay House Publishing. She wrote: “I have noticed that the Universe loves gratitude. … The Universe is a generous and abundant giver and likes to be appreciated.” Well said!
When we choose gratitude our sense of well-being improves. When we continue to be dissatisfied we spiral downwards. We go back to the unpleasant experience that dissatisfaction brings. Gratitude is your life jacket - it keeps you afloat!
Just like a captain on a ship, you need to stir your life away from dangerous situations. You have to steer in high waters, i.e. high thoughts, and not run into low ground. Set your intent in motion; focus on your goal. Keep your thinking above the surface.
Can you be grateful for what seems to be negative? Letting go of painful experiences seems like a daunting task. It seems difficult to be grateful for the negative encounters we experience. And we don't know at first that this is a healing process. Often, a shift occurs because we have outgrown the old. We no longer belong in this lower frequency. Say “Thank you” to the Universe. Be grateful for what's in store next. New doors are ready to be opened. After some time has passed, you will gain a new perspective and see the light. You will once again feel grateful for your life.
Exercise your appreciation of people and see the face of God in everyone. This means that no matter how the individual appears or behaves, the truth is, that he/she is the same in substance as you. We are all Souls, Mind, and Spirit - nothing more, nothing less.
Look for the blessings all around you. Get busy looking for and seeing the good that engulfs you. Brush aside anything and everything that is less than loving, kind, generous, and beautiful. I certainly will!
Love is a motivator. Love, makes you do things - so do the things you love!
