Holiday Stress

Are you getting anxious and stressed because the holidays are near? Are you worried that you haven’t started to decorate or shop yet? Maybe you feel that you have too many parties to attend and too many social activities planned? Maybe you are concerned because money is tight this year? There seems to be always something to worry about…


Stop worrying and take a good look at what is really necessary, evaluate what is of value. Make a priority list, and know that you have plenty of time if you just focus on what's important, one item at a time. Step by step, you will get your list checked off and remember to cross off unnecessary items. And yes, you can say NO to your friends and family. Reflect and focus. Balance your agenda.


The key is to only do what you enjoy at your own pace.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The spirit of Thanksgiving has long been a sharing of abundance. Being celebrated here in the US on the 4th Thursday in November, it symbolizes a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest. This Holiday is rooted in English traditions, dating back to the Protestant reformation. We, in the United States, trace this tradition back to 1621, when a celebration in present-day Massachusetts was staged due to the especially bountiful harvest season that year. Pilgrims from England which had settled in the region carried on the tradition they were accustomed to. Not until the late 1660’s was this Holiday a regular annual event. In this day and age we have extended this celebration to give thanks not only to the bountiful food we are blessed with. We are thankful for all the goodness we receive daily, and we are grateful for our good health, for warm friendships and love. Have a wonderful Holiday!

​A time of uncertainty...

In this time of uncertainty there is a lot to worry about. Fear creeps up and turns us into victims, but not because we truly are victims, but because we believe we have no power, no voice. This unsteady, worrisome voice in our heads diverts the otherwise calm demeanor we usually exhibit. What is happening?

Worry is a mental poison. It robs us of the still mind necessary for our progress in unfoldment. This mental poison slowly robs us of our ability to choose the right side. It robs us of making reasonable decisions. This worry will eat us alive if we keep going on and on about the things we fear.

The remedy is plain. We must go on a mental diet and abstain from worry, despair, but most of all fear.

I know this is easier said than done, but we have no other choice. We must take in only pure, loving and calm thoughts, and be confident that the power of the Universe supports each and every one of us—as the Universe is within.

These fearful situations we see in this world are manmade. Poor choices, wrong attitudes and selfishness. God, the Universe, doesn’t make mistakes. The Law works. The I AM works. It reflects all of the right and wrong thoughts each and every one of us entertain. Yes, all the thought convictions and feelings…good or bad.

However, there is no need to worry or fear if we understand the Laws (and I’m not talking about faulty earthly doctrines), because everything will fall into place in due time and everything will work out the way it’s supposed to, if we allow it to work - the way the Law works. We must be instruments of the Universal Laws, peacemakers, love-senders, uniters – not dividers.
This does not mean we have to be quiet, it does not mean we have to lay down and accept the wrong. Standing up with goodness in our hearts and have our voices heard, that is what’s required of us. Peaceful and steady with love in our hearts and minds.

Eventually, through this process, we’ll reach the destination of Universal harmony, but only when we sincerely strive for this state of being. The work needs to be done.

 Thought Corrections

As you are working on correcting your thoughts, feelings and dispositions, you might find the changes more difficult than expected. The visible improvement might not show up right away.

My advice to you: Don’t give up. Always remember that we accumulated our habits over a long period of time; it will take time to change our thought habits and unravel the emotions. There are many layers of unresolved thoughts. There are feelings of resentment and anger, hurt and painful memories. All of these must be cleaned out one by one.


No matter how arduous this process might be, we must keep digging and reasoning, and soon we will see the progress of our labor. It only takes 51 percent to tip the scale to a more positive experience. Imagine the joy you will feel once you have relieved yourself of this burden. Negative thoughts and feelings are heavy and weigh us down, positive and loving thoughts are light and lift us up to where we belong – up in the scale of being.
