Everyone has a different viewpoint

Especially when dealing with others we must admit that there are different perspectives and always two sides to every story. We might feel in the right, that we have done the best we can, and that the other was maybe unreasonable. It also seems, at times, that someone else, something outside of us has inflicted emotional wounds onto us. Maybe a parent or partner, someone close, has neglected our needs. Maybe our longings of being loved have not been fulfilled.

But ask yourself, who has really done those things to you? Haven’t you allowed them to affect you? Have you accepted the insult as true? Have you acknowledged a stranger’s statement as fact? I know that I had to really work through this concept before I could see the truth.

Speaking from a mental viewpoint, can someone really hurt us unless we react to it and believe they can injure us emotionally with their words?  Aren’t we the ones that think and feel hurt about the things said or done? Are we allowing them to affect us or are we taking responsibility for our reactions and feelings?

Each of us reacts differently to certain situations. We perceive uniquely. So, instead of reacting, we must take a step back and see these situations without any emotional or personal connection and feeling. I know it’s not easy to look at this from a detached point of view, but it is necessary in order to make the correction. Always remember, no one can emotionally hurt or disappoint you but you, yourself.

Be well, my friends and take care of yourself!

Goodness always returns to the sender...

“Goodness always returns to the sender”

A friend of mine has one the most kind and generous dispositions. She is always helpful and takes care of the needs of her family and friends, sometimes to a fault. However, I’ve been watching her life over many years now and I can truly say that she is a fine example of the above statement.

Her inert goodness and temperament has always returned to her. Even though living a simple life, she receives everything she needs through her right thought and loving attitude.

Last week her boss invited her for a Birthday dinner and at the end of the night handed her a ticket to Paris, the city she loves to visit most. This is how right thought works. Your desires will be met by the Universe, through channels coming from any direction. Just know that you can fulfill your dreams and desires by being and acting good, by giving and therefore receiving, and by the power of your own right thought.

Is metaphysics helping spiritual seekers in their quest to find the Infinite Source of Being?

This is a very valid question, but let’s take a look at ‘what is metaphysics’.

Metaphysics is the science of the unseen rather than the seen. It deals with the concept that we are mental beings, not mere humans. It explores what lays behind our daily experiences, examines and practices the power of thought, and studies the unseen forces of the universe, called Universal Laws.

There are books, booklets, and masses of papers to read and ponder, when studying metaphysics. This study requires a serious, inquisitive, honest and sincere mind. It demands faith in the Allness of Good, and states that thought is causative and powerful. The mental-ness and good-ness of all, is the principle concept behind it.

‘Right Thinking’, no matter what the study or lessons are called, is one of the most rewarding experiences. Learning about the Truth and finding out that all religions, teachings, writings of the ancient wisdoms, and New Age ideas, are in principle the same. They are all grounded in the knowledge of God, Spirit, Higher Power, Universe, Consciousness and all the other names given to this all-inclusive limitless Almighty Power. Remember, the essential concept is that we are Souls, spiritual beings, and that our thoughts, conscious awareness, beliefs, and life attitudes shape our experiences. We are all striving to go ‘up’ in the scale of being.

It seems difficult to awaken from this power of illusion, or cosmic hypnosis, that our mortal life presents to us. We still crave earthly pleasures, and that’s OK in moderation. However, we should build our heaven on earth, here and now. It’s part of our journey.

Where we fall short is in keeping the balance between desires of the flesh and desires of the spirit. Those who coast and are mentally lazy will reap the unpleasant rewards of staying in the same daily rut. The only way out is to clear our minds of this mental clutter and lift our thoughts to where they belong. The direction of our Consciousness has to be upward, intentionally seeking a better understanding of Truth.

So, there is nothing mysterious about ‘metaphysics’, it’s simply the learning of seeing life as it is – perfect, mental, indivisible and good!

How to attract good Souls

How do we attract good Souls? By being one!

Our Soul is the unbroken connection to the Almighty (universal source) and therefore our purest possession. We are this Soul. Deep underneath our fragile egos, our facades, our habits and moods, is this true essence of life, our life, our Soul.

Let’s get away from the idea that Souls are “people”. The word “people” is described in the Merriam-Webster dictionary as “human beings making up a group,” “the mass of a community,” “a body of persons that are united by a common culture,” and so on. All of those expressions imbue a material sense. Calling someone a human being also does not imply a connection with his/her natural God state. It projects a sense of an Earthly, vulnerable, and corrupt creature.

The real you is your Soul, not your body. We are not human beings. We are mental beings. When we once realize our divine heritage, we will only attract good Souls, other wonderful mental beings, clothed in this Earthly human body. Of course, there is one other requirement: Well, we have to be good ourselves first. Good attracts good, that’s a law of life.

Therefore, don’t see others as “less than” yourself. They might appear to be “less” talented, “less” quickly to act or understand, “less” tolerant or “less” gifted - but by judging others you are taking away from your own good. They are not “less” - they are as perfect as you are. They are just on a different level of unfoldment or frequency - working on their own issues and challenges. So be compassionate and focus on your Self.

Be, who you want to be. Be, who you want to attract. Be, the shining light you are meant to be. Be, the true you.

Thoughts about unkind people

“You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.”
Buddha

Thoughts about unkind people

It took me some time not to react when people were unkind or hurtful. It took practice not to take others' insensitive comments personally. It also took deep thought to see the truth that these actions weren’t about me, but it was the other’s mistaken sense that made them lash out and act improper.

So, when the people you are dealing with seem difficult and unpleasant, remember that it’s not about you, but about them and their mental pains. Their view of things, their emotional dispositions and opinions.

The “higher” thought to hold in mind is, that they are by nature as good and perfect as you are. They, however, have lost their true character just for the time being. Keep that thought, not as a judgment but with love, and do not waver. Soon they will respond to this truth and your loving attitude.

“You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
