Our changing Reality

Think of your life right now. This is your ‘now’ reality, this is the world you live in. Let me ask you: What would you change if you could do it all over again? Can you truly say nothing? Maybe a few things, but most of your life was and is satisfactory? If so, congratulations to you!

What we must remember, if we do want to change something in our experience, is that we have a choice again, and again. Today, and any day, we can look at our experience and say: ‘I will change my (specific thought) to (a better specific thought)’ and fill in the desire we have outlined for ourselves. Then reason about it and come to a conclusion that reflects our new style of living. We can make that different choice now and move on without looking back.

Changes are good, they are positive and they will push us forward. Think about the days, way back in time, when you thought of yourself a certain way. Hasn’t it all changed? Aren’t you a different being now? Imagine making this transformation consciously and planned. Planning a better future for your self is vital. No one wants to be stuck in the old ways of living, especially when they are not working for them. Going over and over the same woes and problems, not making any progress whatsoever, seems not only redundant but also excruciating. Who doesn’t want a better, more harmonious life?

Well, I do. Therefore, I have committed myself to a rigorous mental work out. I faithfully go to the mental gym and practice diligently, by repeating statements of truth, applying what I know and practicing right thinking on a daily basis. It’s not always easy, it takes time…but in the end, it’s worth it. What about you?

A Fresh Start

“Why is this happening?”, we ask, when something goes wrong and wonder what we can do to prevent this from happening again. Maybe we think that outside circumstances caused the misfortune, or maybe we assume that undergoing anything ‘less than’ good is normal.

All obstacles and unpleasant encounters are merely showing up in our daily experiences because we haven’t cleared our mentalities of negative thoughts and pessimistic expectations. We still see these unpleasant occurrences as real, and possible, and therefore they cause mental blocks, or you can say negative obstructions in our minds.

Because the Law of Individuality is always in effect, we are only responsible for our own mental house cleaning. Like everything else in life, right thinking (thoughts according to Universal Laws) and positive thinking (thoughts that are full of hope, faith, love, and life) must be practiced and new ideas must be tested. When applied correctly, the results will be health, wealth, and happiness.

So, what do we do? We must release all negative energy these happenings create in us and allow our good and positive mind-set to take over. We must look at all undesirable events as learning tools; as something that will assist us in making better choices, as showing us the way.

Therefore, let us be aware of our thoughts and actions on a daily basis. Cleaning out our mental chambers from wrong thoughts and feelings should keep us busy enough. There is no need to try to “fix” others, even close friends or relatives. We must allow them to find their own way, their own path. They will get there in their proper time. We only can support and love them. But, let’s focus on self.

Living in conscious awareness means to fully understand the powerful effects our thoughts have, here and now. Knowing that our thoughts and feelings are the cause of our experiences will stir up the desire in us to think and act better, and to use our feelings in a more positive way. And most of all…Let us start NOW.

Nothing in Life is permanent...

Nothing in life is permanent, it constantly changes. Every minute of our lives we encounter a shift, a ripple in the fabric of Consciousness. It’s all individual, yet the ripple effect flows through all life and perfectly ties all individuality together.

Our material body, or shell, is an imaginary solid corpse, a vehicle for this plane, guided by the Soul. We wouldn’t be seen, or have an ID without it, here, on this plane - so it is necessary in this stage of unfoldment. However, let us not “become” the illusion. Yes, this body is the only one we have right now and we must take care of it gently and lovingly. It’s our temporary home, house, of our Soul. Therefore, we must aspire to make it livable; keep it clean and healthy, so the Soul can expand and thrive.

The question begs an answer: Why do we at times abuse the body? By abusing our bodies, our mind cringes and stiffens. The Soul part of us (our spiritual self) wants to become free. It wants to return to its true home, the realm of Universal Consciousness, where it can regroup and reincarnate to another experience.

The unenlightened mind is deceived by likes and dislikes and shaped by past habits and old ways of looking at things. It seeks fulfillment and ecstasy in superficial endeavors. It looks in all the wrong places. It seems, that having more is never enough.

The enlightened mind, however, is searching for the truth and looks at it with indifference. It knows the truth is constant and unchangeable. The ‘understander’ will nourish the Soul, including his physical body, and enjoy life to its fullest, always appreciating what he has at the time. Striving for more understanding, rather than material riches or idle entertainment is the goal of a true searcher. Being wealthy is not bad - it is very, very good as long as you do not mistake it for “important” and “necessary” and know that you would be just as happy without it. This knowledge is true wealth.

So, let us enjoy this shifting and ever-changing experience of life. Let us appreciate our being to its fullest and let us flow easily with the current of life, wherever it might lead us, because we know that all is good.

Letting go of painful experiences

Letting go of painful experiences seems like a daunting task at times; but this 'letting go' is a necessary healing process. We don't know that at first and so we hold on to the memory of the hurt. We feel justified and defend our emotional reaction like something of value.

Painful happenings can occur from a variety of reasons, may it be a betrayal of a friend or loved one, may it be rejection or criticism, whatever the cause is, it stings – no doubt about that.

But often this painful experience occurs, because we have outgrown the old and are being pushed into a new and better situation. We no longer belong in this lower mental frequency and therefore we must see the new, better path in front of us. Turning this seemingly negative occurrence into a positive one is the key.

So, first of all let us say 'thank you' to the Almighty Power for showing us the way and let us be grateful for what's in store next.

Our mantra should be: Don’t fight life; live it! Because, when we think that we have to fight life and its challenges (even for a good cause) we block our inner positive energy. We toss our otherwise calm mental state out of balance. We should support, help, love and nurture good causes, but we should not fight anything. Fighting is the opposite of being at peace, and only peace can bring us harmony and lasting happiness.

So, the moral of the story of ‘Letting Go’ is this: When someone hurts your feelings, it is only because you allow it to affect you. Remember, it is not about you but about them. They most likely have undealt issues and are lashing out. If you have been lied to, know that the person is a fearful or manipulative individual, so it’s time to let them go. If you were criticized, remember that you are perfect and good. I could go on and on with examples, but I think you got my drift.

Love thyself and let go of hurt feelings, because you are the one who suffers – and who needs that?
