Because, when you make happiness your goal, you will easily accomplish what you desire because happiness is a natural state of mind, and it’s a positive force in the creation process. Happiness is a high mental frequency; it is a state of fulfillment and joy. Being happy multiplies what makes you happy, and all of your desires will be fulfilled through this appreciation of what you already have, rather than wanting more and more goods. “Wanting” insinuates that you “don’t have”, but you already do have all you can imagine to be yours. And this is the key, you have to imagine that you already have!
Ask yourself, “What makes me happy?”
At first, you might list material things: money, a new car, a new house, some exotic vacation, or expensive jewelry. But such possessions are elusive. They will not last forever, nor are they the source of true happiness.
Then there are the less tangible desires: You might want love and a loving relationship. Maybe you want more time to yourself. Or you desire greater status and respect. There are countless ways we attempt to make ourselves happy.
Remember that nothing or no one outside of yourself can make you experience pure happiness. Happiness comes from within, from your innermost blissful thought habits and convictions, your sense of self-worth, self-sufficiency, and from your self-love. It comes from your appreciation of self and your surroundings. It comes from your love for your loved ones and the love for other creatures, nature, God and the Universe.
Happiness should be a well-rounded sense of contentment and bliss. Some might call it Grace.
No doubt that you should have all the material things you want. They are here for you to enjoy, but don’t make them your prime focus. They are a natural outcome provided by your right inner mental attitude and will be added to your experience automatically as your sense improves.
