What Easter means to me

Here are some thoughts I have included in my book "Because you can" which are relevant every Easter Holiday. All people celebrate their beliefs in their own special way. In my case, being raised Roman Catholic, the story of Easter was always a sad and joyous one alike. As everyone knows Christian religion teaches us that Jesus died on Ash-Friday and resurrected on Easter Sunday. The story is all about the suffering this amazing man endured for ‘us’.

I will not forget the processions I attended as a young girl, carrying a statue of the Virgin Mary with my school friends, and singing in church choir to celebrate this momentous occasion of Jesus’ resurrection.

Now being all grown up my perception and beliefs have changed. Well, they started to change a long time ago – step by step. And not just a little bit…

The fears and threats of religious organizations do not have a hold on my persona and thoughts anymore. The days are gone that I think my sins have to be forgiven by another person, called priest, who then prays to God to forgive me, kind of like a buffer…how insane!

Don’t get me wrong. I adore and respect Jesus, but as a man, like you and me, but with perfect knowledge of the Truth. A man that lived and preached what he understood to be true, telling us that the kingdom of heaven was within us – not in a far-away place. A man that knew what it meant to be one with God; King James Bible: And Jesus answered them, ‘Is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods?’ including us as divine spiritual beings. (John 10:34) His wisdom was misunderstood by so many. Like all great seers, East and West alike, he was showing the masses what needed to be done in order to find God, everlasting life.

And so on this Easter weekend I will remember that life is eternal. That we do not die and that through finding God and becoming ‘like Him’ we will find infinite bliss. We, like Jesus, are able to make this transition to the next plane consciously. We do not have to fall into deep sleep in order to rise to the next dimension. We are meant to live and to unfold from within. We are all His children and so I rest assured that I am made of the same substance, perfect intelligence, goodness and wisdom, as this great Universal Almighty power that we call God.

Have a wonderful and uplifting Easter Holiday!

What would you choose as your next reality?

Think of your life right now. What would you change if you could do it all over again? Can you truly say nothing? Maybe a few things, but most of your life was satisfactory? If so, congratulations to you! We have a choice again, and again. I’m not talking about our next life either. I’m talking about NOW.

Today, and any day, we can look at our experience and say: ‘I will change my (blank) to (blank).’ Fill in the desire we have outlined for ourselves. Reason about it and come to a conclusion that reflects our new style of living. In my case, I am currently thinking about moving to another city, creating a special retirement place for my husband and I. Together we chose the location, Palm Springs, and are remodeling a home which we bought several years ago to fit our needs. We decided to leave the bustling city of Los Angeles that no longer serves our life style. As I visualize and mentally picture this improved state of being, I will improve my state of mind, and my outer scene will change accordingly. What I create in my mind will become my new, or next, reality.

Think about the days, way back in time, when you thought of yourself a certain way. Hasn’t it all changed? Aren’t you a different being now? Imagine making this transformation consciously and planned. Planning a better future for your self is vital. No one wants to be stuck in the old ways of living, especially when they are not working for them. Going over and over the same woes and problems, not making any progress whatsoever, seems not only redundant but also excruciating. Who doesn’t want a better, more harmonious life?

Well, I do. Therefore I have committed myself to a rigorous mental work out. I faithfully go to the mental gym and practice diligently, by repeating statements of truth, applying what I know and practicing right thinking on a daily basis. What about you?

I would love to hear your feedback: www.modernthoughttheories.com

We are actors of life

Have you thought about this? We, each and every one of us, plays a role in our daily lives; and every day we slip into different parts of the play as actors do: Mother/father to our children, wife/ husband to our spouse, and, when we visit the doctor, we become the patient. When we go to school, attend classes, or participate in seminars, we become students. Going to work we become a mechanic, nurse, or firefighter. You might play the role of a hero, an intellectual, artist, or a victim.

We act differently in each capacity. The only thing that stays the same is our Soul, our true essence. Our thoughts change constantly, our beliefs vary and our convictions are sometimes in line with what other people think, and not what we should have researched on our own. We are so busy playing the role that we unfortunately neglect the Soul.

Your true mental business is to be busy with the good. Let go of the acting part. Be who you are. You can be a mother without acting like one. You can be a husband without pretending to be the kind of husband you think you are supposed to be. You can be an artist by expressing yourself through your art, but you don’t have to play the role that you think is expected of you. Can you shed the role of victim by taking on the responsibility of victor? Let me know what you think!

“Everything you are against weakens you. Everything you are for empowers you.”

Thought vibrations

Many of you might have read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne and, as she correctly points out, our thoughts are frequencies, permeating through the Universe. The better, more refined thoughts we think are higher thought vibrations and will negate lower thought vibrations, which are the lesser or wrong thoughts we think.

The higher frequency of being, or being “up” in the scale of being, is the desired state. Higher frequency thoughts include loving and kind thoughts, happy and grateful thoughts, abundant and generous thoughts, as well as a healthy attitude. There is infinite Intelligence and boundless Wisdom within us. All we have to do is to access and contact it by thinking those higher thoughts.

When we allow these thoughts to permeate our being it will inspire us, lift us up, guide us, and heal us. It will show us the way if we’d only listen carefully and act on our instincts.

By applying these higher frequencies, we can alter our future positively. The future is flexible and can be altered through our concept of self. It can be changed through our letting go of lower frequency thoughts and feelings. Any changes are taking place in consciousness first and have to be solidified in our mind to the point of conviction.

At every moment of our lives, we have a choice. Depending on the choice made, our future will correspond. Therefore, it is imperative that we shape our future in our mind and conform to the harmony in our desire. Namaste!
