Focus on balancing your life

Balance is the key to life. Your day should consist of part work, part play, part rest, and part meaningful contemplation, as W. W. Walter so eloquently stated. Your welfare should be at the top of the list.

To achieve this formula, see your work as an expression of your talents that you are happily contributing to the world. Be playful and lighthearted, rest easily with a clear conscience and spend time in quiet solitude to replenish your mind, contemplate new ideas, and reflect on the meaning of life.

Love and respect yourself by treating yourself well, by enjoying yourself, and by having genuine affection for your surroundings and your environment. Show appreciation for what you have and who you are. Purify your thoughts, and implement a healthy lifestyle.

Starting and maintaining a clean and pure life doesn’t mean you have to stop all that you have considered to be fun up to now. You can enjoy the same rhythm & blues and the same carefree amusement, but exercise moderation. Just listen to your heart—you know what to do.

Get that balance in check!

You are Cause with a corresponding Effect

“Love is from the infinite, and will remain until eternity. The seeker of love escapes the chains of birth and death. Tomorrow, when resurrection comes, the heart that is not in love will fail the test.” Rumi

Any thinker will agree that if we understand cause, we will understand effect. As we learn that we (our Spirit’s activity, which is our thinking) are causative or cause itself, we are also discovering that we are responsible for the effects we experience. This understanding of cause and effect will lead us be able to control our body and life experiences harmoniously and at will.

With this understanding, we can consciously create only that which is good and desirable—namely, health and happiness. The same is true of the effect known as wealth. However, we have to learn that our minds cause these events, and how and why our thinking cause them.

Additionally, the importance of love and good feeling in this work cannot be over-stressed. It is the vital element in our spiritual journey. Without love, nothing will satisfy or fulfill us in our quest. A sincere want for goodness and interest in life is crucial.

Let us not take the unfoldment of our lives lightly or be careless in our choices. What can possibly be more important than learning how to achieve a more fulfilling and more harmonious life?

What is the invisible you?

Our daily experience can oftentimes be challenging to say the least. However, the fight we are fighting is not between us and the outside world, our neighbor or our family. The fight is within each and every one of us. It is between what we are accustomed to, which is many times a negative outlook, and what is right and good. Our reaction to the outside world is really our emotional response to effect not cause.

In order to correct this distorted view, we have to choose to find our true Self. Remember, you are far more than your physical body or your accomplishments in this physical world. You are even more than your current thoughts and emotions. Everything you experience, feel and think that you are, is only a fraction of your true nature.

You are doing your ‘true’ living on the inside. Think about the times that you’ve talked to yourself out loud. Who are you talking to? Isn’t it like you are two people? One ‘you’ that is here doing the talking and one ‘you’ on the inside that listens, and advises because it knows better? Your intuition, your instinct, your connection to your higher Self? You must trust this inner ‘you’ and you can ask for its guidance.

So, what is this invisible ‘you’? Well, it’s a more spiritual ‘you’, a more intuitive ‘you’, and a ‘you’ that is in tune with consciousness. Not the perfect ‘you’ yet, but a more connected version of ‘you’.  We must keep working on discovering more of our true nature!
